FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

We provide flexibility in our payments for tutoring services. Our services are rendered on a "pay as you go" basis. Payments are due on the first day that tutoring services are rendered before the session begins. Invoices are sent electronically and you can pay on a weekly or monthly basis. It is cheaper to pay upfront for the month than on a weekly basis. For rate inquiries, please call or email to request a Tutoring Registration Form which includes more detail about tutoring programs and payment options.

Will I be locked into a contract or a payment plan for tutoring services?

We try our best to keep consistency between our tutors and tutees. We understand that students and parents build relationships with particular tutors and we try to honor your specific requests. However, it is not always possible to assure that the same tutor will be available based on varying schedules and unforeseen circumstances. However, all of our tutors are carefully vetted and trained to deliver quality tutoring services .

Can I work with the same tutor again?

All resume documents (including the cover letter and/or corresponding pages) will be delivered in PDF & Word format. The Word document is fully editable. Please ensure that you have Microsoft Office 365 to ensure compatibility between your new and improved resume documents and your computer. To avoid any formatting issues, it is best to open and edit your resume and/or cover letter on a PC rather than a mobile device.

What format will I receive my resume in?

Our standard processing time for resumes are 7-10 business days. Expedited services are 2-3 business days (+$75 rush fee). Some clients request a 24-hour turnaround (+$100 fee), which is accepted on a case-by-case basis. Your new and improved resume is considered a draft - and we anticipate having to make some revisions (although many times, the first draft is perfect). Once any/all revisions are made, we send you a final copy and the draft of your cover letter. Once any/all revisions are made, we begin optimizing your LinkedIn page. We send you a report via email to confirm when your LinkedIn update is complete. Please note that the resume will be delivered between 7-10 business days but the overall process may take longer depending on the extent of revision requests.

Simply call or email us and request a tutoring registration form. We will send one to you via email or you can pick up a hardcopy in person at our center. We match tutors and tutees based on subject-matter proficiency and tutor availability. 

After you receive your new and improved resume and cover letter, we schedule the Interview Prep / Mock Interview session(s). 

  1. Your interview coach will assess your target job, skills, and experience.

  2. We develop your personal branding strategy and teach you tried-and-true interview techniques.

  3. We perfect your responses through rehearsal and transparent feedback.

What happens if I don't like my resume?

Our tutors are comprised of teachers, college students, and Certified Tutors with demonstrated proficiency in specific subject areas. Each tutor is carefully vetted and must pass a rigorous assessment to demonstrate proficiency in the subject area before assigned to tutor. Students with disabilities, IEPs, 504 Plans, and ELL (English Language Learners) are welcome.

We work with every client to ensure that you walk away 100% satisfied with our resume products. After writing the first draft of your resume, we welcome your feedback and work diligently to revise your resume accordingly. After the first draft is produced, we go over the resume line by line, section by section, with each client and capture any/all revisions needed. This ensures that our clients walk away 100% satisfied with the finished product.
